121 Marah Hardt - Sex in the Sea

For many, this is a tough time of year - it’s Valentine’s Day. A lot folks both love and hate this day. To celebrate in our own unique way, we present to you “Sex in the Sea” - an entire episode dedicated to the freaky ongoings in the ocean. And in case you thought you have it bad here on land, think about a fish that has to find a mate in the vastness of the ocean. Joining us is Dr. Marah Hardt, the research director of the non-profit Future of Fish and author of the new book Sex in the Sea: Our Intimate Connection with Kinky Crustaceans, Sex-Changing Fish, Romantic Lobsters and Other Salty Erotica of the Deep . She’s a coral reef ecologist by training and former research fellow at the Blue Ocean Institute. This episode is definitely NSFO (not safe for the oceans).
